The Aridity Solution utilizes a Company desiccant chemical. It's an anhydrous sodium hydroxide with an accelerated cobalt chloride complex. Inhaling the chemical begins a swift reaction that completely dehydrates the body, leaving behind a mummy-like corpse. A filter mask can prevent the toxin’s effects and large quantities of water will diffuse it.[1]
The Company uses this chemical at Westhole Prison as a way to deal with prisoner outbreaks. Prison protocol instructs guards to release this toxin into the prison population by pressing a large red button in the prison control room.
