Background[]
A Bio-Frequency Sonic Disruptor is a device used as a sonic drill in mining operations.[1]
Use against the Hullen[]
John Jaqobis discovered that Hullen spacecraft neural links were disrupted by certain sonic frequencies, but needed a mechanism that could transmit those frequencies at a maximum power output and range. The only available device was owned by the Mole Miner Clan on Westerley, used to strip-mine Photonic Crystals.[2] Johnny, Dutch, and D'avin came up with a scheme to steal the device from the miners, with the help of information obtained from Big Borna.
Sonic Disruptor
Johnny was able, after a bit of effort, to modify the sonic disrupter to transmit the right frequencies in a manner they could use to disrupt the Hullen. The device was set up on Leith, controlled by Pree, and protected by Ferran mercenaries. It was successful in disrupting the Hullen ships however Pree had to shut it down to protect it from Hullen ground troops that attacked their position.[3]
