Background[]
Members of several families of the Nine, led by Land Kendry, conspired and implemented a coup to gain control of the Quad and the Company by killing their rival families.[1]
Timeline[]
- The Company brings weapons and troops into Old Town in preparation for a large military operation.[2]
- Three Company agents assault three Scarback monks and steal their robes.[3]
- Disguised as Scarbacks, the agents perpetrate the Leith Bazaar Massacre, shouting anti-Company rhetoric.[4]
- Alvis Akari is framed as the ringleader, arrested and intimidated into falsely confessing via threats against the other Scarbacks.[5]
- In response to the massacre, The Nine schedule a vote on whether to repeal the Seventh Generation Accord.[6]
At the summit on Qresh, a Genetic Bomb is planted by an unidentified Level 6 agent, killing several members of The Nine.[7]
