Background[]
Previous Level 6 Agents who have been reverted back to human state when Khlyen poisoned the Arkyn Tree source by injecting himself with a Level 6 toxin he created and bleeding his infected blood to destroy the plasma and kill the tree.[1]
Many, if not all, of the newly re-human cleansed defected from the RAC trying to figure out what it means to be human again and come to terms with the things they had done when they were infected with the plasma.[2]
The Cleansed are getting a mixed reception. Surviving RAC agents of the Hullen slaughter on the RAC Cruiser don't trust them anymore, not believing they are cured, or assuming that they will defect to the Hullen and turn on the humans for their previous immortality.[3] Turin even goes so far as to send his goons to round them up and detained in the Brigg for study. He considered it a tactical call to be "safe" and to "be sure." D'avin orders them released and acknowledges how they were the most victimized by the Hullen and as a result will fight the hardest against them. Turin is arrested for "sedition and crimes against your people" for the detention of The Cleansed.
The Cleansed are the only ones who can fly the Black Root ships, commanded by D'avin, in unison. When D'avin stood up for them, they pledged their loyalty to him and agreed to flying the ships.
